What Women Look Like In The Morning Is Their Biggest Fear When Holidaying With Their Boyfriend
When Running Long DistancesKeeping up that all-important female mystique could really be put to the test when holidaying with your boyfriend for the first time according to new research from IMODIUM® Instants. The research, which looked at women’s worries when holidaying with their boyfriends for the first time, suggests that their greatest fears revolve around losing that air of mystery they’ve worked so hard to create.

1 in 5 women said (of the options listed, including: being ill; morning appearance; personal hygiene/grooming habits; embarrassing themselves; sharing a bathroom) their biggest worry was how they looked first thing in the morning . This was closely followed by getting ill (e.g. being sick or having diarrhoea) and sharing a bathroom together1

Relationship coach Susan Quilliam, says, “The fact is, your first holiday with your boyfriend will probably also be the first occasion you’ve spent any real length of time together. Such a confined space can suddenly leave you feeling exposed. It’s hard to keep up any form of mystique when everything you do is in full view of your boyfriend. And let’s face it, nothing can shatter the illusion faster than suffering a bout of ‘Delhi Belly’ in a shared bathroom!”

In light of this problem IMODIUM® Instants and Susan Quilliam have developed the following advice for women holidaying with their boyfriends for the first time:

  • Start sorting the problem even before you hit the airport. Take the pressure off by spending a few overnights together so you’re both used to seeing each other with a little of the gloss off.
  • Keep your daily hygiene and beauty routines to a minimum – and make pre-holiday preparations such as waxing – so he doesn’t witness every move you make to maintain your fabulous image.
  • Watch your diet! A radical change of food and drink can trigger embarrassing problems. So eat wisely, drink bottled water – and don’t overdo the alcohol.
  • 44% of women suffer from stomach troubles e.g. diarrhoea whilst holidaying with their boyfriend1 and 30% of diarrhoea attacks take place in the morning so why not pop IMODIUM® Instants in your suitcase and handbag to cover those eventualities.
  • Get close! Lots of physical and emotional affection will help you feel more emotionally secure and therefore less worried about losing your ‘mystique’. So, cuddle and talk to the max!

Getting ill on holiday
IMODIUM® Instants melt on the tongue in seconds, without the need for water, and can stop diarrhoea with just one dose. This means you can treat your diarrhoea at the first sign in a convenient and discreet manner, without letting others know you’re suffering. Hidden in your beauty case or handbag, IMODIUM® Instants is ideal for when you’re away with your boyfriend.

A natural balance exists within the digestive system and any disruption to the system can cause the speed at which food and water pass through it to increase, making it harder for the body to absorb fluids and nutrients. IMODIUM® Instants helps to return the body’s digestive rhythm to normal, slowing it down and helping to restore its proper absorption. In this way, you can feel better more quickly than if you don’t treat, enabling you to get on with enjoying your holiday.
